OSH IMPLEMENTATION AND CHALLENGES TO PREVENT COVID-19 TRANSMISSION IN A PUBLIC RADIO STATION
The Indonesian government has issued various policies to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The purpose of this study was to explore policies and implementation of the COVID-19 prevention as well as the challenges at Semarang Public Broadcasting Station. The Semarang Public Radio Station is a government agency engaged in audio broadcasting where broadcasters work in closed studio rooms and have a risk of COVID-19 transmissions. The method used in this study is a qualitative analysis using in-depth interviews, and it was conducted in April 2022. The informants consisted of the head office (key informant), head of the administrative subdivision sector (Main Informant), 2 broadcasters, and 2 staff (supporting informants). The results of the in-depth interviews and observations showed that the policy implementation had been carried out quite well as per regulations. The Semarang Public Radio Station has implemented all prevention procedures set by the government. However, the financial limitation, wearing a mask during the broadcasting process, and the lack of air ventilation in the studio remain challenging. Therefore, Semarang Public Radio Station needs to overcome some improvements in the temperature checking protocol and the air ventilation system.
